Completely just fell asleep. I guess I should get to bed. Night xoxo
She let out a little giggle as she watched him fidget. It was a rare sight indeed, and an adorable one at that. “I would love to,” she said, taking his hand. “This is quite the unexpected gesture, my dear.”
"I’m aware, but yet I am feeling nostalgic for the past, especially our past. You deserved so much more than I ever gave you. One evening can not make up for my short comings, but perhaps you can take this gesture as the beginning to something new" Lacing their fingers together Loki smiled down bright eyed at her. In excitement the prince strode a little quicker than her, her shorter legs forcing her to jog every other step to keep up. "just around here" he announced giddily.
In the garden a glass dome alive with stars encased the foliage, twinkling lights comparable to fairy dust rose up from it’s pollen home from the flowers a rose up toward the glass, a few other types glowed brightly as the sun fell down over the walls
"Geeze, when was the last time you actually cut loose for once? You’re more wound up than my oldest brother."
"and what purpose would this cutting loose serve?"
"Just having some fun. You should try it."
"Is that some form of dance? I don’t see how acting foolish is fun"
Jane followed his gaze to the impatient woman behind them. She laughed a little to herself. “I hope I’m not getting you in trouble..” She commented under her breath. A small smile spread across her lips as she noticed him writing down his number. ‘Finally- someone I can really talk to, someone who appreciates my research.’ Her mind was spinning with thoughts. Graciously she took the number and as she tucked it in her jacket pocket, she stepped to the side while he helped the woman behind her. He was definitely charming, the man behind the counter. She watched him interact with the grumpy woman, trying to get her to smile, and even when it seemed he had failed, Jane saw that it didn’t dampen Sebastian’s spirit. When he invited Jane to join him on break, Jane tried to seem not too eager. “Sure, I’d love to.”
Waving the women off Sebastian sighed loudly shaking his head
“the unfortunate part of working in retail”
Pushing a few button’s he worked on closing down the register for the half hour he would be gone
“Trouble? Oh no, this is my shop. I can’t scold myself. Although that would be one interesting one man show, perhaps I should sell tickets”
he teased grabbing the ‘be back in 30 minutes’ sign from the counter shelf. Untucking his green polo shirt from his black jeans Sebastian made his way around the counter gesturing to the door
he insisted, making a quick step for the door to open it as Jane exited.
“there is a coffee shop just on the corner”
Walking beside the scientist Sebastian felt giddy to have the opportunity to discuss such a deep interest he had taken up, and with someone he would have considered a hero to him. Her unorthodox work making the subject that more enchanting and mythical, as though it were magic they would be analyzing instead of science itself. As always the gentleman fashion he opened the coffee house door for Jane as well, he wasn’t sure if the gestures made her uncomfortable but it would make him even more uncomfortable to hold back such a natural urge.
“What’ll it be?”
he offered pulling out his wallet.
Jane looked around the room and bit her lip in thought. She always imagined how the room might look like but to see it now still send a shiver down her spine. The scientist quickly turned back to the computer and started working. After she was finished analysing all the data SHIELD had about Stark, she started to scribble down numbers and equations on a sheet of paper.
"Is it not dangerous to store all that here?" She asked after a while and pointed to the place Loki kept his weapons before turning back to the paper and biting her lower lip. The task was not exactly easy and she didn’t have the right equipment but she was still positive to solve the puzzle.
Shaking his head Loki responded coldly
already finding his proper state of mind for the job. He couldn’t plague his mind with worry, worry for Jane or their relationship. Emotion left room for error and in this case their worst fear was error alone. Pulling off a small square box from his wall of toys Loki attached it to his belt, he caught Jane eyeing it curiously from the corner of her eye as she worked
“his JARVIS system can detect entities like myself, this device will cut off any energy source radiating off me. This is why I need you. Tony Stark really smartened up after New York, the realization he wasn’t alone in the universe really had an impact on him. Now Jarvis can feed off signals me and my magic can give off. This mission is souly based off skill. Jane”
he kneeled beside her turning her chair around to force her to look at him
“We will need to wipe out Jarvis completely once this is done. Stark has his home rigged in every corner of recording devices. Using Tony’s hand print we can deactivate the AI. That is of course after..”
Loki’s lips curled in, and eyes flashed a moment of sympathy
“What ever you see. Do not scream. Do you understand me?”
"They’re beautiful, thank you."
"You are welcome" Loki fidgeted with his hands for a moment and eventually broke into a wide toothy grin "would you care to accompany me to the gardens? Dusk is upon on us, and I hear the way the light reflects off the bloomage this time of day is a magnificent sight"
Dexter assumed the stranger simply had to be another killer, someone like him. He didn’t appear to show any fear or disgust towards the serial killer, even after he had openly admitted what he was capable of. When his captor spoke about Dexter actually submitting to him, the killer wanted to laugh, in his mind, he was a dark god, a monster.
Dexter took other people lives as and when he wanted, he was his own lord and master, his victims never controlled him, he was always in control of them and having the power to chose who lived and who died, excited him like nothing else as well as the fear he instilled into his prey.
He suddenly noticed unexplained black smoke rise up and begin to engulf them both. "Whats happening?!” The smoke seemed to clear after a few moments, Dexter’s eyes widened in shocked silence as he realized that they were no longer in the alley, but instead some dark room. His captor was no longer restraining him, but instead stood a few meters away, now dressed in a black suit, the serial killer rubbed his sore hands, he was visibly nervous but not so intensely fearful as a normal person would react.
He extracted the blade from his pocket pointing it defensively at the other man as he backed up against the wall, gazing around at the fireplace and objects around the room. "What did you do? what is this place? How did we get here?”
The realization suddenly struck Dexter that he was dealing with something supernatural and beyond his control. His eyes widened as he froze up, dropping his knife on the floor as he dropped to his knees, now only daring to take the occasional quick glance at the other man or supernatural being as he now knew him to be.
After a few long moments of thought and a few more shy glances over at his captor, Dexter finally spoke up seeming to have made up his mind about something. "So is it true….are you Him…you know….the devil….does this mean I’m dead?" The killer watched as the being clicked his fingers and a door across the other side of the room vanished before his eyes. "Is this hell?"
A dark brow raised in confusion for a second as the wild eyed man came to his own conclusion’s. Erasing his uncertain look the prince masked it with a sorrowful one
“I’m afraid you are, the moment your needle came into contact with my flesh your life force was taken from you. It was a test you see, unfortunately you failed and forced yourself into this purgatory. You had been given chances, chances I knew you would never learn from. Your fate is sealed”
Turning his back on the pleading man the raven grinned wickedly. Of course he was still alive, and Loki was no demon though many would disagree with that statement, but in the name of all thing’s fun in the eye of the trickster he just couldn’t pass up the unexpected opportunity given to him. Tapping his cheek the prince spun back around on the balls of his feet, his malicious grin washed away.
“there is of course redemption in your future. Not to him”
Loki gestured above them with his index finger
“Of course, but to me. Do you wish for a second chance child?”
Christianity was not exactly a long shot from the stories of real being’s that had existed, surely he could keep up a proper facade as the devil or Lucifer. The two had similar attributes, both unwelcome princes with a different agenda in mind. Oh this would be pleasant.
